Forest Baseball Club welcomes anyone age 5 years old and above to join the club and play. Generally children break into the following age groups:

• Age 5 - 6 Aussie T-Ball on Friday evenings
• Age 7 - 8 T-Ball
• Age 9 Zooka Ball (machine pitched)
• Age 10 - 16  Baseball

Player's assigned division will depend upon age at 31 Dec and skill level.

Options for registering completed forms:

Registration for new club members require your child's birth certificate or passport to be sighted, so please bring it along to registration day, scan and email, or mail a copy with the completed registration form to the Registrar.

Registration for returning players for U/8 and above divisions should be received by the Junior Registrar no later than Friday 26th August 2011.

Acceptance of registrations received after this date cannot be guaranteed as teams are formed after this time. Please consult the Junior Registrar prior to posting or emailing your registration forms to confirm if space is still available in your age group.

Divisions And Fees for 2011-2012 Season:

Uniforms and Other Gear

# Club uniform consists of Cap ($15 with rego this year, $20 otherwise), Socks ($10), Belt ($10), Top ($45), Zipper Pants ($45). 

+ Club provides T-Shirt & elasticized pants free of charge. (if require larger zipper pants sizes $45)

Own baseball mitt purchase required by Under 8 players and older.

No special shoes are required for U/7-U/10. U/11 and above may consider shoes with only molded plastic (not metal) studs or cleats.

Mouth guards are recommended, but not required. Protective cups are required, especially u/10 & older grades.

Parent Involvement

For u/8 and older grades, our Club teams require volunteers for a number of duties throughout the season. This may involve team coaching, team managing, rostered canteen/BBQ support, diamond set-up before games, player bench supervision, umpiring and game scoring. Your support and involvement is part of the Baseball experience and is much appreciated and should not be expected to be left to a few in the team.

Season

The summer season is from mid September to mid December and then early February through March.

Twighlight Aussie T-Ball (Under 7’s) for younger and/or first time players will run for 10 weeks from 7/10/11. (Click on Friday Night TeeBall for more details)

Grounds

For U/8 - U/16 age groups, all playing ground locations can be found under the Tab “Grounds” of our home page. They are all within about 40 minutes of Frenchs Forest.

FBC home ground is at Warringah Aquatic Reserve. Canteen & BBQ present for Sat games. Ample parking is available.

Training

Training day for U/9 and older grades is subject to team and coach availability. Once the teams are formed your coach or manager will contact you with training option (s) and based on the majority of the team, a day/time will be determined.

Teams

FBC Teams may not be fielded in all age groups each year as this depends on the number of children registered for each division. Some age groups maybe amalgamated to form teams.
